Where does the best wine really come from?
I eat and drink out a lot. Like 320 days a year. I also love wine.
Got into it with a few winos tonight. One claims the best wine is from France. The other claims it's from Italy. And another claims from Australia.
My job takes me to Napa Valley almost twice a month, sometimes three times. I've been spoiled up there and have really been treated to some great products and experiences. Got to say, the Napa Valley region does an excellent job with their products. Gets kind of commercial in some places, but when you find the off the beat, family style places with cool staff, things really fall into place.
So, what's the real deal. Where does the best wine come from and why?

There is no such thing as the "Best wine"-I mean, who really is the judge on something like that... The best wine to one person could be the worst to another... and what about all those supertasters out there-who think beets taste like dirt and can taste the bitter flavor on the paper in chemisty class..? They may hate earthy merlots and love fruity pinots and d then, the taste of the wine changes with whatever food you are tasting-as well...
Its a very odd question -I dont think there is an answer..
The best wines are from Bogle, the Old Vine Zin is great.
V. Sattui makes my insides happy. The duck pate makes me wake up and search my fridge, swearing i had some, but only to find out i was dreaming...
Best place to celebrate you birthday.
